Check out the Civil War Memorial Park in Stafford, Virginia

If you are a history buff, this park has some amazing take-ways. This is a 41-acre site that is full of hiking trails, historic encampments, cannons and more. There are a total of 5 sites that you can walk to (but it would be a long walk) or drive to.

There are nice public restrooms on site and a gazebo to rest at.

This is a wonderful place to explore. My family enjoyed going through the park and imagining the life of a soldier, who was stationed here back in the 1800s. You can find this park off of Mount Hope Church Road in North Stafford. This would be a good hike to take the kids or history buffs on. We are lucky to have history like this so close!
